A 55 kg skater spins 12 m/s while carving a circle on the ice that has a radius of 6.0m. What net force must act on the skater to keep her in the circular path?

    F = m. a

    a = v^2 / r

    a = 12^2 / 6.0

    a = 24 m/s^2

    F = 55 * 24

    F = 1320 N
