How does the density of a medium affect the speed of a wave?

    Optically Shallower region, speed is slower and wavelength decreases

    Optically denser region, speed is faster and wavelength increases

    U can remember this by (shallower read it fast and it sounds like slower) and the wavelength always coincides with speed ie speed decrease wavelength decrease)
