We claim that momentum is conserved. Yet most moving objects eventually slow down and stop. Can you explain.

    if you threw a baseball in space, would it not keep on going forever and ever until it collided with another object or was pulled to another planet by gravitational forces? Look up Haley's comet ... technically it is caught in an orbit but has been moving nonstop for hundreds of years
