A simply supported beam, 4" wide, 6" deep, and 16 ft. long carries a uniformly distributed load of 300 lb/ft (a) compute the shearing stress developed at horizontal layers that are 1" apart from top to bottom of a section that is 2 ft. from the left end. (b) compute the maximum shearing stress developed in the beam.
