Through which does light travel best?

    Light travels best through empty space because there is nothing to block/disrupt its path.

    But hey ... When discussing light, what does "best" mean anyway?

    Fastest? Least absorption?

    Least dispersion? Least refraction?

    Most direct without bending?

    Least scattering?
