    hydrogen is placed at the left side on the peruodic table because it is a diatomic element. in most periodic table it is placed at the centre

    Hydrogen is placed on the left side of the periodic table because it is placed based off of its electron configuration. the periodic table organizes the elements by their atomic number, and hydrogen only has one electron meaning it is first on the periodic table.
