    The acceleration is Zero

    Explanation:

When the ball is thrown upward, its motion is against gravity and the gravitational force. Hence, it has its acceleration as - g.

The very instant that the ball hits the ceiling is the moment it's upward motion stops.

Hence, in that instant, it is motionless or static.

If it is static, then, definitely, velocity is Zero and acceleration is also Zero.

However, after the ball hits the ceiling, it begins to fall back to the ground. It falls in the same direction as the gravitational force and so, its acceleration is + g.
