    Decreasing the wave length

    Explanation:

There is a thresh hold energy / frequency that has to be attained before emission of electron occurs.

    Using planks energy equation

E = hf where E is thresh hold energy and f is thresh hold frequency

    Given that f = c/lander

    So E = h (c/lander)

Where c is speed of light in vacuum lander = wave length

So therefore since speed of light is constant to reach thresh hold frequency / energy, reduction of wavelength is required
