A car traveling in a straight line has a velocity of + 5.0 m/s. After an acceleration of 0.75 m/s², the carâs velocity is + 8.0 m/s. In what time interval did the acceleration occur?

    The formula for acceleration is given as,

    From newton's equation of motion,

    a = (v-u) / t ... Equation 1

    Make t the subject of the equation.

    t = (v-u) / a ... Equation 2

    Given: v = 8.0 m/s, u = 5.0 m/s, a = 0.75 m/s²
