Here are the net charges on the spheres at the start of the process, before any of the balls were touched together. Sphere A has a net charge of 5Q; sphere B has a net charge of - 4Q; and sphere X has a net charge of 9Q. Assuming no charge is transferred to you, what is the total combined charge on the three spheres at the end of the process?

total combined charge on the three spheres = 10Q

    Explanation:

    Charge on sphere A = qA = 5Q charge on sphere B = qB = -4Q charge on sphere X = qX = 9Q Combine charge on all three spheres = qA + qB + qC = 5Q + (-4Q) + 9Q = 10Q
