radiation dose = 10 (absorbed dose).

    = 10*3.8 mSv/y * 1Gy/1000mSv

    = 0.038 Gy/y

Now calculating the absorbed dose in rem/y as follows

    absorbed dose = 3.8mSv/y*1 rem/10 mSv

    =0.38 rem/y
