If the eyebolt is made of a material having a yield stress of? Y = 245MPa, determine the minimum required diameter d of its shank. Apply a factor of safety F. S. = 1.5 against yielding. Express your answer to the nearest mm and include the appropriate units.

    Factor of Safety = Material Strength / Design Load

    ∵ designload = ⁰y / F. S

    =254/1.5

    =163.33Mpa

    stress=force / area

    =163.33*10⁶N/m²=30000N / π/4d²

    d²=233.86*10⁻⁶

    d=15.2*10⁻³m
