    68796000 J.

    Explanation:

    Energy: This can be defined as the ability and the capacity to do work. The S. I unit of energy is Joules. (J).

    From the question,

    E = P*t ... Equation 1

    Where E = Energy, P = power, t = time.

    Note: if the compressor operates 9.1 hours a day,

    Given: P = 2.8 hp = (2.8*750) = 2100 J, t = 9.1 hours = 9.1*3600 = 32760

    Substitute into equation 1

    E = 2100*32760

    E = 68796000 J.
