After a golf ball is hit it takes off with an initial speed of 29.5 m/s and at an angle of 34.5° with respect to the horizontal. The golf field is flat and horizontal. Neglecting air resistance how far will the golf ball fly? Submit Answer Tries 0/12 How high will the golf ball rise? Submit Answer Tries 0/12 How much time will the ball spend in the air? The golf ball will bounce at angle of 34.5 ° with speed of 29.5 m/s.

    Range R = u²sin2θ / g

    = 29.5² sin 2 x 34.5 / g

    = 29.5² sin 69 / g

    = 82.9 m

    maximum height

    = u²sin²34.5 / 2g

    = 29.5² sin² 34.5 / 2x 9.8

    = 14.24 m

    Time of flight

    = 2 usin 34.5 / g

    = 2 x 29.5 x sin 34.5 / g

    = 3.4 s

    Range ∝ u²

    new Range after doubling u = 4 x 82.9

    = 331.6 m

    Time of flight ∝ u

new time of flight after doubling u

    = 2 x 3.4

    = 6.8 s
