Q30. When working near some large air cored inductors you misplace a socket and as you cannot find it you

proceed to energise the system. However, you find that something does not operate as expected. Upon

investigation you find that the socket had fallen into a coil. Select the best explanation for what happened.

    When the piece of metal blundered into the air-core coil, it changed the inductance of the coil.
