A particular series circuit consists of a battery and three resistors of different resistances. The resistors are placed in the series circuit so that the current flows through the resistor with the smallest resistance first, and flows through the resistor with the largest resistance last. Does the current get smaller as it passes through each of the series resistors in this circuit? Explain why or why not.

    Explanation:

    When resistors are connected in series, the amount of current that passes each resistor are equal hence in this case also, the current through all the three resistors are equal. This is because since all the current passing through the first has no other way but to pass through the second resistor onward.
