    James lange theory

    Explanation:

The James lange theory was formulated at around 1884-1887 and it states that fear is not directing caused by sensing an event but by the bodily response which is caused by the particular event.

James lange theroy can be explained with this simple illustration.

if i see a wild animal. i would feel a sensation of fear in me. its only when i interpret this feeling that i would experience fear. but if i dont feel the sensation i wont have fear. An abnormal person may not be scared of a poisonous snake as his brain is not able to interpret the feeling of fear.
