Why do you think the term "minority" has persisted when the word "subornate" is more descriptive?

    Answer:The term minority is used for black and brown people in American. Subordinate means to placed in or belonging to a lower order or rank, and less importances or secondary.; )

    Subordinate is offensive and derogatory: it implies that the group is inferior and lesser. Minority is neutral: it simply describes that the group is of a smaller percentage, population-wise. Subordinate also doesn't directly correlate to minority.
