    The current across the resistor is 20.61A

    Explanation:

    The power P can be expressed as a function of the potential difference V using the equation;

    P = IV

    Where;

    P = power

    I = current

    V = potential difference.

    Making current I the subject of formula;

    I = P/V

    Given;

    V = 16.5V

    P = 340 W

    Substituting the values;

    I = 340W/16.5V

    Current I = 20.61A

    i=20.61apms

    Explanation:

    Power=340W

    And a P. D=16.5V

    Power in electric circuit is

    P=iV

    Therefore,

    i=V/P

    i=340/16.5

    i=20.61amps
