The formula 1 car collided with the wheel at 130km / h and stopped in 0.14 seconds. Calculate the acceleration of the car and the driver in a collision. assume that the movement is steadily slowing down.

    You use kinematics for this problem. You know your Vo (initial velocity) is 130 km/h or 2166.67 m/s. The Vf (final velocity) is 0 and time is. 14 seconds.

    You can use the equation: Vf=Vo+at and plug the numbers in

    0 = (2166.67) + a (.14)

    a=15476 m/s or 928.57 km/h
