    Answer: 6 metres

    Explanation:

    Work is done when force is applied by the climber over a distance.

    i. e Workdone = Force x Distance

    Since, Workdone = 3,000 joules

    Force = 500 Newton

    Height climbed = ?

    Then, Workdone = Force x Distance

    3000J = 500N x Distance

    Distance = (3000J / 500N)

    Distance = 6 metres

    Thus, the climber went 6metres high
