    The answer to your question is 720.5°K

    Explanation:

    Data

    Volume 1 = 285 ml

    Temperature 1 = 355 °K

    Pressure 1 = 1.88 atm

    Volume 2 = 435 ml

    Temperature 2 = ?

    Pressure 2 = 2.5 atm

    Formula

    To solve this problem use the combined gas law

    P1V1 / T1 = P2V2 / T2

    - Solve for T2

    T2 = T1P2V2 / P1V1

    - Substitution

    T2 = (355) (2.5) (435) / (1.88) (285)

    - Simplification

    T2 = 386062.5 / 535.8

    - Result

    T2 = 720.53°K

    Conclusion

    The gas must be heated to 720.5°K
