No, a liquid will not turn into a gas if the pressure of the liquid is increased and no thermal energy is added to the liquid.

    Answer: No

    Explanation:

There are three type of substances solid, liquid and gas. State of matter of various substances can be easily changed. If we talk about liquid it will turn into gas if we decrease the pressure on liquid. But on the other hand if pressure is increased it will turn into solid.

Thermal energy is the energy that comes from heating the liquid. If temperature is increased then particles of liquid will move rapidly and it will turn into gas. But if temperature reduces than particles will move slowly and liquid will freeze.

So liquid will not change into gas only by increasing the pressure without the addition of thermal energy. Rather liquid will turn into solid if pressure is increased and thermal energy is not present.
