    Force=mass*acceleration

    So

    Acceleration=Force/mass

    Acceleration=240/0.50

    Acceleration=480 m/s²

    When ball was at rest its velocity at that time was 0. Now the final velocity is given as:

    Velocity=acceleration*time

    As we have find the acceleration and velocity is given so we can find time easily

    So

    time=velocity/acceleration

    time = (3.0m/s) / 480 N
