    0.5 m/s² clockwise

    Explanation:

    Acceleration: This can be defined as the rate of change of velocity. The S. I unit of acceleration is m/s².

    The acceleration of a body undergoing circular motion is given as,

    a = v²/r ... Equation 1

    Where a = acceleration of the bird, v = velocity of the bird, r = radius of the circle.

    Given: v = 5 m/s, r = 50 m.

    substitute into equation 1

    a = 5²/50

    a = 25/50

    a = 0.5 m/s².

    Hence the acceleration of the bird = 0.5 m/s² clockwise
