3. If you hold a coin above your head while in a bus that is not moving, the coin will land at your feet when you drop it. Where will it land if the bus is moving at constant velocity? Explain why you said what you did.

    While the bus is stationary and the coin is placed above the head of any passenger, it will drop on the foot of that person as the neither the bus is moving nor that person.

    But in such situation when the bus is moving at the constant velocity then also the coin will drop at the foot of that person and this has been explained by Newton's first law which states every object will be in its state until and unless an external force is applied.

    Though the bus is moving but the coin is in state of rest with respect to the passenger hence it will fall only at the foot.
