    Answer: 40m/s

    Explanation:

    Parameters.

    Speed = 76m/s

    Acceleration = 9m/s2

    Time = 4seconds

    We know that velocity (V1) = V2 + at

    Where V1 is the final velocity, V2 is Initial velocity, a is acceleration but in this case it's decceleration meaning the value will be negative and t is the time taken.

    Therefore, V1 = V2 + a t

    V1 = 76m/s + (-9m/s2) (4s)

    V1 = 40m/s

    Therefore the new final velocity is 40m/s
