In the glass full of water, volume and therefore mass of water is more than that in glass, half filled with water. Temperature of water is same. The velocity of molecules depend on the temperature of the material. Since temperature of water is same in both the glasses, the velocity of water molecules will be same in both the glasses.

. The internal energy per unit volume or mass too is dependent on the temperature. Since the volume of water is more in the fully filled glass, internal energy too will be more of this glass.

Heat required to increase unit degree temperature of unit mass of any thing is called specific heat. In case of water one calorie of heat is required to increase temperature by one degree C in mass of one gram of water. Since, gram of water is more in case of fully filled glass, more heat will be required to increase the temperature by one degree C of water in fully filled glass.
