Two linear polarizing filters are placed one behind the other, so that their transmission directions are parallel to one another. A beam of unpolarized light of intensity?0 is directed at the two filters. What fraction of the light will pass through both filters?

    Explanation:

    Because once ligh passes though any polarizer 50% of it is gone. The second polarizer is also oriented in the same direction so it passes through with no effect.
