Human activity such as soil stripping, mining dangerous agricultural practice causes and affects erosion and sedimentation.

The earth operates a balanced process such that the earth produce it self at about the same rate as it erodes. So if humans are stripping the soil at a rate greater than the rate at which the soil is forming itself, the soil wont be able to keep up, thus leading to erosion.

Sedimentation on the other hand is the process whereby by particle settle at the base of the carrying body due to the force of gravity.

As humans, mining activity most importantly at times dissolves particles which travels down to the core and are then moved to another location by erosion. this implies that the strength of the soil of that location becomes weak.
