    Answer: The spring constant of the trampoline is 87500N/m

    Explanation:

    From the formula for elastic potential energy,

    Work done on the spring = 1/2 Ke²

    Work done = Potential energy of the body = mass (kg) * g * height (meters)

    mgh = 1/2 Ke²,

    where m = 70Kg, g = 10 m/s², h = 10m, K = spring constant, e = extension or compression = 0.4m

    70 * 10 * 10 = 1/2 K * (0.4) ²

    7000 = 0.08 * K

    K = 87500N/m

    The spring constant of the trampoline is 87500N/m
