Solar sails are a method of spacecraft propulsion by means of radiation pressure exerted by sunlight. Because they have few moving parts and do not have a propeller, they may theoretically be used for sailing in space, using the repulsive force of the Sun's rays. Lines will link the edge of one sail to the other.
