    The second law says that the acceleration of an object is related to the net force applied in the object divided by the mass of the object.

    This also can be writen as:

    F = m*a

    Where F is force, m is mass of the object and a is the acceleration of the object.

    And example is, suppose that you have a chair that weights 10kg, if you push it with a force of 2N, then the acceleration of the chair can be obtained.

    2N = 10kg*a

    a = 2N/10kg = 0.2m/s^2

    Newton's second law of motion pertains to the behavior of objects for which all existing forces are not balanced. The second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object. The acceleration of an object depends directly upon the net force acting upon the object, and inversely upon the mass of the object. As the force acting upon an object is increased, the acceleration of the object is increased. As the mass of an object is increased, the acceleration of the object is decreased. If you use the same force to push a truck and push a car, the car will have more acceleration than the truck, because the car has less mass.
