Do you know why ice cubes boil (after they melt of course) faster than a water in a room temperature?

    It is because solids absorb most heat.

    Explanation:

    The atoms within solids are tightly packed which makes transfer of heat within atoms easier with compared to the atom of liquids.

    As soon as the solid melts it has enough kinetic energy to turn into gas faster.
