Parallaxes of stars were not observed by ancient astronomers. How can this fact be reconciled with the heliocentric hypothesis?

The heliocentric hypothesis states that Earth moves around the Sun. Since the Earth moves, the star background should experience parallax, in a similar way a person notices parallax in the trees while moving in a forest.

However parallax in stars was not observed by ancient astronomers, not because it doesn't exist, but because it is too small to measure.
