    650 N eastward

    Explanation:

    - Drag is a force due to the resistance of the air against the motion of the plane. Its direction is opposite to the direction of motion of the plane.

    - Tailwinds are winds that "push" the plane from its tail, so they apply a force in the same direction as the motion of the plane.

    In this case, we have:

    - A force of 450 N that pushes the airplane eastward

    - A force due to tailwinds of 200 N, that pushes the airplane in the same direction

    Since the two forces act in the same direction, the resultant force is just the sum of the two forces, so:

    F = 450 N + 200 N = 650 N

    and the direction is the same as the direction of motion of the plane (eastward)
