Why are meteorites of primitive material considered more important than other meteorites? Why have most of them been found in Antarctica?

Answer: Primitive meteorites are those that are derived from the left overs of the solar nebula, intermixed with the dust particles, small concentration of metal as well as different type of rocks. So they are more efficient in exploring compared to other meteorites.

Antarctica is one of the most favorable place to get meteorites. It is because Antarctica is entirely comprised of ice and is so clear that one can easily find meteorites. Also during summer, when the ice melts, meteorites are exposed on the surface and are sometimes transported to a different place.
