An 8.0newton block is accelerating down a frictionless ramo inclined at 15 degrees to the horizontal. What is the magnitude of the net force causing the blocks acceleration?

    Given that:

    Force (F) = 8 N,

    inclination of ramp (θ) = 15°

    determine magnitude of net force (Fnet) = ?

    Fx = 8 cosθ

    = 8 * cos 15

    = 7.72 N,

    Fy = F sinθ

    = 8 * sin 15

    = 2.07 N,

    Net force (Fnet) = sq. root [ (Fx) ² + (Fy) ²]

    = sq. root [ (7.72) ² + (2.07) ²]

    = 8 N.

    Magnitude of net force is 8 N
