    Answer: A) Salinity and temperature

    Explanation:

The density of the sea water are determined or dependent upon the salinity and temperature of the sea water. Raise in the salinity is proportional to the increase in the density of the sea water. With the decrease in temperature, the sea water density continuous increasing.

As compared to temperature, the salinity has less effect on density of sea water. The density of the sea water is not measured directly, it is evaluated only by three factors that are:

    Temperature Pressure Salinity

    A. Salinity and Temperature

    Explanation:

Density: It is measured as mass per unit volume. It is a measure of how tight or loosely particles are packed in certain volume. Density of seawater depends on the salt content and the temperature. As the amount of salt content varies the density varies proportionally. When temperature varies the water content will vaporize thus making more salt content available per unit volume of water and thus increasing the density. The pressure also plays a role in deciding the density.

In deep sea the density can reach more than 1050 Kg/m³.
