    25.95 m

    Explanation:

    m = mass of the bungee jumper = 50 kg

    k = spring constant of the cord = 100 N/m

    x = stretch of the cord

    L = length of the cord = 10 m

    h = height dropped by the bungee jumper = L + x = 10 + x

    Using conservation of energy

    Spring potential energy = gravitational potential energy

    (0.5) k x² = mg h

    (0.5) (100) x² = (50) (9.8) (10 + x)

    x = 15.95 m

    d = distance traveled below the bridge

    d = L + x

    d = 10 + 15.95

    d = 25.95 m
