A bullet moves with a velocity of 500 m/s and has a KE of 900 J Compute it's mass.

    To determine the mass of the bullet, remember the equation for calculating kinetic energy is

    KE = 1/2mv^2.

    900 = 1/2m (500) ^2

    900 = 1/2 • 250 000 m

    900 = 125 000m

    m = 900/125 000 = 9/1250 = 0.0072 kg.

    This would be the mass if the bullet.
