    A desertification refers to the term which means desertlike conditions in a region. This region exhibit lack of water. Loss of fertile soil from drying out is desertification. The soil being exposed to warm weather conditions looses it's water content and becomes compact and hard. As the water evaporate from soil, the soil looses it's fertility.
