When waves interact with an object, they will interfere with the object, and when waves interact with waves, they reflect off each other.

    When waves interact with objects, reflection happens. When reflection occurs waves bounce back from a surface that they cannot pass through. But when a wave interact with another wave, they interfere which is called refraction.
