Electromagnetic waves can travel without a medium.

    Explanation:

The main property of the waves is the way how they propagate or travel in medium. The waves which can travel without a medium is said to travel in vacuum or air.

Hence electromagnetic waves are capable of travelling with and without medium whereas mechanical waves always requires a medium for it to propagate. There are a wide range of electromagnetic waves depending upon their wavelength.
