speed of 12 m/s. When the driver

accelerates, the car reaches a speed

of 26 m/s in 6 s. What is the average

acceleration of the car?

    initial velocity u = 12m/s

    final velocity v = 26m/s

    time t = 6s

    v = u + at

    26 = 12 + 6a

    26 - 12 = 6a

    14/6 = 6a/6

    a = 14/6

    a = 2.33m/s^2
