Venus is the hottest planet in the Solar System. It is so hot because it is covered in a thick layer of clouds. The thick clouds on Venus make the sky look orange. The sun's rays pass. through the clouds and the planet's surface warms up. The clouds on Venus stop the heat from escaping so the planet gets hotter and hotter.
