When the temperature of a conductor remains constant, the current across the conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across the conductor. This is called Ohm's law.

The devices which obeys the Ohm's law are are ohmic devices.

    1. Resistors are the Ohmic devices as they follow the Ohm's law.

    2. Coil are the Ohmic devices as they are tightly wound electrical wires.

    3. Diodes are the semiconductor devices so they do not obey ohm's law, so they are non ohmic devices.

    4. capacitors are not the ohmic devices as their resistance depends on the frequency of the AC current applied.

    5. Light bub is an example of heating effect of current, it obey Ohm's law and so that it is an ohmic device.
