    Answer: 33.3 km/hr

    Explanation:

    Given that,

    distance travelled = 60 km

    Time taken = 1 hour

Time taken on city streets = 2 hours

distance travelled on city streets = 40 km

    Average speed = ?

Since average speed is total distance travelled per unit time, it is obtained by dividing the total distance travelled by the total time taken

    i. e Average speed = (total distance / total time taken)

Total distance travelled by Mrs. Walline = (60km + 40km)

    = 100km

    Total time taken = 1 hour + 2 hours

    = 3 hours

    So, Av. Speed = 100km / 3hours

    Av. Speed = 33.3 km/hr

Thus, Mrs. Walline's average speed was 33.3 km/hr
