    using the first kinematics equation

    the initial velocity will be

    V = U + at

    v is final velocity and u is the initial velocity and a is an acceleration and t is the time period

    2.75 = u - 0.5*2

    2.75 = u-1

    3.75 = u thus it will be 3.75 m/s
