Two electrodes connected to a 9.0 V battery are charged to ±45 nC. What is the capacitance of the electrodes?

    Explanation:

    Capacitance is calculated by the formula;

    C = Q/V;

    where, C is the capacitance, Q is the charge in coulombs and V is the voltage across.

    in this case;

    Charge = ± 45 * 10^-9 Coulombs

    Voltage = 9.0 V

    Therefore;

    Capacitance = 4.5 * 10^-8 / 9

    = 5 * 10^-9 F
